Visit the Keith Heindl family

Keith and Laurie Heindl have been married since June 2, 1984. They met while Keith was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of TX at Arlington. Laurie was attending Bauder Fashion College, though she transferred to UTA in 1982. They both graduated from UTA, Keith in 1977 and Laurie in 1991.

For a time, they continued to live in Arlington, TX while Keith ran his own business and Laurie worked in the hospitality industry, with a brief foray into environmental lab work. On Nov 20, 1994 they welcomed their first son, Joseph Floyd Heindl - named after both of their fathers. With Rose (Keith's mom) providing day care, both Laurie and Keith continued working, though finding little satisfaction. Finally, the summer of 1997 brought an opportunity for the family to re-locate to Lansdale, PA where Keith had obtained a position with Merck & Company (largely due to the efforts of Roger Broxterman who had been on Keith's Knights of Columbus softball team.) With some trepidation, Keith, Laurie, Joseph and Rose left TX and landed on the east coast.

Within 1.5 years after moving to PA, there were two life changing events. First, Alexander Modi Heindl was born on April 16, 1999. Then in June, 1999, the clan moved to Royersford, PA after buying a house. Meanwhile, Laurie had begun a career in the waste management industry, but after hitting the proverbial glass ceiling, she suceeded in being hired as a contractor at Merck in December 2005. She was hired as a permanent employee in May, 2007.

Both Keith and Laurie are still with Merck, with Keith as a Business Process Expert working on the implementation of SAP and Laurie working as an Operations Coordinator. In July, 2008, Keith, Laurie, Joseph and Alex moved into Laurie's dream house (at least until a different dream comes along). While not much different in size than their first house, it is further out in the country and it allows them to eat dinner while watching the sun set over the field and hills in the back of their house. With a nice basement for the kids to play in and a little exercise area that will hopefully keep Laurie and Keith from getting too chunky, life is very good. Our biggest regret is that Rose could not be here to enjoy it, having passed on Oct 25, 2004.

Other parts of the web site provide a way to contact Keith and Laurie via email, but below are some pictures, features and links for your enjoyment.
