Born in Mt. Morris, PA on Jan 30, 1923 who would have known that the 2nd daughter born to James and Gladys Modi would travel all over the world, then come full circle to pass away in the state where she was born.

Betty's family moved from PA to Newport, RI when she was just a few years old - and this is where she grew up.  With many of her values being formed during the Great Depression, it was WW II and the military presence in Newport that changed her life.......
